Interesting theory. Life on USENET -- and if you don't know what that is, you might not get this -- was a lesson in how to behave (and not to behave) online. This is probably why I can't/don't want to get too close to the wank. I got plenty, back in the day. I won't go over the whole "trolls taking over alt.lesbian-feminist.poetry" thing again, but you can probably imagine how that went. :P
