I want to know whether the following is a typo or an accurate quote:
The death of these pigeons was more than an unfortunate accident
I read the article out loud to my partner and when I explained that there wasn't a "nothing" before that "more," he started quoting at me... I think from Jose Chung's "From Outer Space." *grin*
Oh, yeah, I noticed that, too. I don't think it's a typo. I think they were trying to get at the fact that people *were* poisoning the pigeons, but weren't trying to kill them.
Yeah, I get that the killing was accidental, not the poisoning; but the way that line reads, the very person who holds ultimate responsibility is suggesting that something more sinister was going on...
It just takes a smidgen!anidadaSeptember 15 2006, 02:01:45 UTC
...I had NO idea that link actually played the song (my speakers are off most of the time). Eeep. Sorry!
The more I think about this, the more I wonder what the heck they were smoking:
One pigeon enters a bank and does the natural on one person.
Poisoned corn (possibly from Acme Labs) is laid out, ostensibly to "deter" any pigeons. (I'll give them the benefit of the doubt... even though I doubt it very much, myself.)
Result: Over two dozen pigeons rain down dead on the town's main event.
I believe the phrase I'm looking for, here, is: PWNED!

It's not against any religion
To want to dispose of a pigeon...
What the heck was up with that bank manager, though? We didn't want to kill them; we just hired an exterminator. Uh, dude, um.
