Man we've got reggaeton blasting out of every pickup truck out here in my 'hood. Say what you will about illegal immigration, but my life is richer having reggaeton and pupusas in abundance.

Have you ever heard go-go before? I think it's primarily a DC thing, although someone in college told me that they have it in NY but it doesn't sound the same. I found a crappy recording of one of my favorite songs, "Overnight Scenario" by Rare Essence here. If you feel like looking for more, Huck-A-Bucks, Junkyard Band, and Backyard Band are some other good groups.

Have you experienced the awesome that is the taco trucks? So tasty, so good, and so authentic. People complain about all the Mexicans, but they are making me happy, so that's all that matters.

I always see taco trucks on the road, but I don't really ever see them parked anywhere and open for business. Most of the immigrants in my area are from El Salvador so we don't really get a lot of authentic Mexican stuff around here. They'll put Mexican stuff on their menus, but they never do it as well as the Salvadorean stuff. Oh and we have a Peruvian chicken rotisserie place that is to die for! Sadly they recently got busted for hiring illegal immigrants and tax evasion and such, but they were allowed to reopen to pay for legal expenses and back taxes and now they're on the level. I haven't been since the reopen, but I hope it's as good as before.
