Whataweek.
Well, how long has it been since the last update? *Looks at the my lastpost* Oh, that long...
Well, guess I should update you all. For one, this week (as the title suggests) has been hectic. For one, since I planned to go to Cybercon since I first found out it was going to be here in New York, I had to do some...reajustments to my work sceduale. This made things...difficult since I still had practice with my girlfriend, "Pebbles" and had to make time for my bestfriend Greg, as well as head down to the school to deal with coming back in a few semsters.
First off, work was interesting. A new girl has started coming in this week, and she has proven herself to be very 'opinionated'. She got on the nerves of one of my co-workers, who in my own opinion, isn't very high on my friend's list. Seeing the two of them get at each other's throats has given me both a headache and a grin to my face.
Later in the week we had to attend a sexual harassment class and honestly, it was really hard not to laugh at some of the things I was seeing. I'm not trying to be mean or anything like that, but I was mainly laughing at the fact that some of the situations I've seen portrayed were just...not right and seemed funny. If anyone has had to deal with harassment like that, then I am sorry that that happened to you, but I am not going to apoligize for myself. One other thing that made me laugh was some of the other people who were there as well, and the comments that were made. Plus a girl almost slipped and fell off her chair. Classic, yes...funny...well, it was hard trying NOT to laugh. I can be mean, I know...
Now to talk about friends. I had Wednesday off, and found out that he had my birthday gift waiting for me. Yes I know, but I didn't mind. Heck, I was just surprised to still be getting a gift to really care about how late it was. *Grins* He got me a PS2 Final Fantasy XI package, which rocks! Well, it would rock if I could start the thing since I need a few more things to work it. Not a problem, it'll just take some time. (Thanx again Greg!) It was also funny because Liz had to stop by in order to give me a CD for to help with dance practice. It almost seemed like Greg was freaking a bit to when he found out she was coming. I think it had something to do with the fact that his room was so messed up! Hehe.
There was a party (more like a get-together) at the clubroom and I got to catch up with a few older friends whom I haven't seen in awhile. It was cool taking photos and just having a good time. Games, and pizza and...more games, and anime. Good times had by all.
However, while all of this was happening, I was missing Liz so much. It's been awhile since we've been together since she's been busy, as have I. I wanted her to come with me to Cybercon, but things never work out like that so I ended up going with my two other friends Michael and Clow. Still had fun though, as we ran around the dealer's room and panels. There was this feeling though, as I watched more then a few couples go around the place as well. *Sighs* Oh well, maybe some other time...maybe.
Well, before my mood goes down again, I guess I should speak of my haul from the firstday of Cybercon. My Day #1 haul consists of:
Runabout
G2 Smokescreen & Dreadwing
Optimal Optimus Primal
TM Megatron
RiD Prowl
Energon Prowl
My Clone Sideswipe
Michael picked up only two things...
G1 "Sixshot" for $30 and G1 Season 3 Part 1. He was quite happy with himself and his new purchases...as most of the people at the con can agree with.
My other friend Clow picked up a lot of Energon figures, which included Hot Shot, Starscream, Arcee and Rodimus. Just like Micahel, he was happy and I was happy for the both of them.
That's about it for now, but I'll update again later to tell you what happened for day#2 at Cybercon. For now, take care all.
