Puerto Rico
Well, haven't updated in awhile, but yesterday was a pretty cool day. I went into Manhattan yesterday to celebrate the Puerto Rican Day Parade with Liz (Pebbles), her Godsister and her boyfriend. However, for everyone who knows me they know that things are never simple.
First off, I was suppose to met up with Liz and the others by 11am, so we could try and get a good spot for the parade, but that never happened. Though I got out of the house and reached the bus stop on time, it seems the bus decided to leave nearly 10 minutes early. Note, this was on a Sunday, which meant I would have to wait a whole hour before the next bus came, so you can guess I wasn't the only one pissed off about this.
Still, I was finally able to met up and get down to the parade. It was cool seeing people like, Fat Joe, Mya, Frankie J and others. After 30 minutes of checking out the sights, the police decided to move the people further down the parade route...
Of course, I should mention that we never actually got back to the parade itself. We spent most of the time walking around Central Park (which was closed off) and talking. I didn't mind it too much, but it would have been good to get back to seeing the different floats and stuff. Oh well.
Eventually we all ducked into a Friday's and had lunch (or was it dinner?) and cracked jokes and stuff. Still a pretty good day though it could have been better.
