Dear Chocolatier,

Hello! Thanks for writing for me. I'm Liviania over on AO3, in case you're checking if you're looking at the right letter.

This is my letter for Chocolate Box 2017. Feel free to mix and match prompts or otherwise go ODAO, except for my DNWs.

Do Not Want
Rape (dubcon is fine, as are any references to canon events that might contain rape)
Cheating (poly situations or AUs where the canon couple never happened or breakups are all fine)
Body horror (except in horror stories)
Hurt/comfort (I've recently had a discussion with someone about h/c, and I think it is more specifically the sick!fic genre that I don't want.  I don't mind characters getting injuries and having them realistically treated; in fact, I prefer that to characters shrugging off bullet wounds.)

General likes
Humor
Violence and/or gore
Fantastical AUs/fusions (superheroes, vampires, Animorphs, etc.)
Genderswap

I am a huge fan of romance and pretty open to anything from fluffy to dark.  I'm not a fan of Big Misunderstanding plots, but I do love some Identity Porn.  I like couples who are shown to have a strong sense of communication (even if what they're communicating is 'you're the worst, but I like you anyway').  Mostly, I like to see whatever suits the couple's personalities.  That includes in bed too.  If you can convince me with your story that it is in character, I'll believe it.

I'm not interested in the characters having kids (unless they have one canonically).  However, I do find stories where someone is accidentally turned into their kid self fun.

As for art, I'm definitely not good at art prompts.  I like stylized stuff and strong colors and textures. Years of reading manga has given me a fondness for roses everywhere.

Phantom of the Opera - Lloyd Webber

Christine Daaé/Raoul de Chagny/Erik | Phantom of the Opera (Webber)

  • Fanfiction

Christine/Raoul/Erik is one of those ships that I feel like should be more popular because it seems so obvious to me. I see it happening with Erik's obsession with Christine extending to Raoul and him wanting to possess both of them.

I'm definitely looking for something darker with this fandom, although creepily domestic would work too. Something set during canon is fine, as is something that changes the ending and explores what might happen to the relationship after. I think a Stockholm Syndrome/captivity romance fits this best, but while I am fine with dubcon, I don't want noncon.

For something that could be more goofy than dark if you want, I'd love the Phantom's terribly inappropriate (and criminal) attempts at romantic gestures.

You can draw on the movie if you want. I know there's a popular book by Susan Kay, but I haven't read it and won't notice any references.
I'm not sure I have much to add here. I'm not picky about which productions you pick up details from, although you might give a YouTube link (if available) for anything esotheric. I will say that I think Christine is sometimes played too weak; I think she is quite brave. For something all around happier than the above prompts, perhaps Christine and Raoul bringing balance to the Phantom.

I love the atmosphere of the musical and would really enjoy something that captures that feel in particular.

X -エックス- | X/1999

Monou Fuuma/Shirou Kamui
Shirou Kamui/Sumeragi Subaru
Sakura Tree/Sakurazuka Seishirou
  • Fanfiction
I don't know how long I've shipped Fuuma/Kamui, but it is a long time. I am fine with stories set pre-, during, or post-apocalypse, although I do enjoy how Kamui!Fuuma taunts Kamui. Kamui is quite traumatized after choosing his side, and I'd love to see a moment with Fuuma where something clicks and he manages to regain some of his former confidence. (How does Fuuma react to that?) I'm pretty much up for anything, as long as the feelings are complicated.

I've always liked Kamui/Subaru as a ship of two damaged people trying to find what comfort they can. With these two, of course, it might not be the healthiest comfort since they're both hung up on very bad men and filled with buckets of guilt. Although for something happier, Subaru showing Kamui an interesting use of his powers would be fun.

How could I resist requesting Sakura Tree/Seishirou? I think the tree's POV would be interesting to explore here. Is there anything that makes Seishirou special? What would the tree do to protect its beloved guardian in turn?

Three very different pairs, but I'd be happy with any of them. I didn't request Subaru/Seishirou, but I don't dislike it if you want to include it in your story. I'm fond of the entire cast, so if you want other characters to show up that's cool, too. Crossovers with Acid Tokyo's version of Fuuma, Kamui, Subaru, and Seishirou are also fine; I like stories where characters meet other versions of themselves.

For X, it is hard to narrow down all the things I want. Dates for ice cream work just as well as an epic battle for the fate of the world (or perhaps some more minor stakes). It doesn't help that a CLAMP canon lends itself to all sorts of craziness. (Don't worry, I won't make you try to figure out Fuuma or Seishirou's wishes.)

Original Work

Details for each pairing below.

Gay Superhero/Gay Supervillain
Lesbian Superhero/Lesbian Supervillain

I'm grouping these two together because I want similar things from them. I love people on opposite sides forced to work together against a shared threat. Or perhaps one of them sways the other to their side? Maybe one of them has been captured by a different hero or villain and they're feeling possessive because they're the only one that can defeat them! Identity porn is something I truly love, so I'd also love fic where the hero and villain know each other in one guise and battle in another.

I'm fine with serious or wacky powers. Super intelligent types like Lex Luthor or mad scientist types are also great.

Male Vampire/Male Human Pet (Original Work)

I have a weakness for vampires. I blame Buffy and Anne Rice. I don't want a shambling corpse vampire for this, although you don't have to go full snotty aristocrat vampire if you don't want. (Personally, I am always up for vampires who hold petty grudges for centuries.) It can be a scary vampire, just not full corpse.

As for the dynamic, I don't want something overly mean, but I'm open to many directions. (Not mean doesn't necessarily mean nice.) Perhaps it is a new vampire and he's assigned an experienced pet to show him the biting ropes? Or a vampire has somehow accidentally acquired a human (but isn't all that bothered by it). Or a vampire convincing a human that he'd just love to come be his pet - there's a nice home, big bed, 401k ... anything navigating their relationship. Maybe it started off as just for blood and now forbidden feelings are growing?

Vampire/Werewolf/Vampire Male

I would love if there is some kind of conflict between vampires and werewolves. Maybe one vampire and werewolf were mated to stop a war, but the werewolf already had a secret vampire lover? So he's open to vampires, but torn between the two (and doesn't realize he can have both).Maybe they all meet up at a nightclub and decide they want each other no matter what. There doesn't have to be a forbidden element; I just think it would be fun.

Something about the difficulty of navigating a relationship with three people (and not just cultural conflicts) could be fun. Or maybe vampires always mate in pairs, because they'll be together forever but need someone they can feed from who might die? (But the werewolf can totally be immortal too.)

Fairy/Male Human

I like fairies and think interspecies relationships are great fodder for stories. How does the human attract the fairy's eye? Are they kind and good, or where they once rude and now seek to dispell a curse?

You could do something with a fairy-tale feeling, or maybe something from darker interpretations. Maybe the human is accidentally out on a night when the Wild Hunt is riding and the fairy decides to save him from the Hunt, or is part of the Hunt and decides to keep the human for themself.

Does the species difference cause compatibility issues? Are they worried about whether to live in the human world or fairy land?
