More snow!
Suzy Q got through her teeth extraction like a champ. Right now she is pissed because I would not take her out for a walk in the cold fog. The indoor/outdoor cats have finished their morning patrol and found warm cozy spots inside the house to spend the rest of the day.
Today I need to work on a freelance project that I have already billed but not finished...oops. In my defense we did lose power for hours on Friday and all my work is done on the computer. Things are good. I just pulled out a frozen turkey to thaw in the fridge for Thanksgiving. The new production does not have 2 weeks off over the holidays like the last one, just 2 days for Xmas and 2 over New Years. It is paid days off though, so all good. Last year the old production was cutting costs so my 2 weeks over the holidays was not paid. I would rather have pay checks than time off.
Kid has signed up for spring classes and now needs to find a place to live down in Pullman, He does not seem too worried. This time of year there are many student apartments that need lease takeovers for spring. I will miss having him around but he will be back for the summer to work another fire season and save money for the next school year.
Back to work for me. A lady on Reddit reached out to get a doodle done of her cat, so I am doing that today for a Chewy gift card. It is fun drawing other people's cats. I might start pet commissions again once the freelance work ends in January.
