I went on a mini-vacation with my parents to Jefferson and Uncertain, TX to see the sights and go on a Caddo Lake backwater tour. The tour was amazing- even though we had to get up at four in the morning, the lake (more of a swamp, really) was beautiful. We didn't see any gators, though I did have a nightmare that they were chasing me last night. We also went on a nature trail hike, wherein we got lost. My mom was not happy about that. Saw the Excelsior Hotel, where Steven Speilberg stayed until a rocking chair started rocking itself. He left the hotel without paying and stayed in a Best Western. He then went on to write Poltergeist. Overall a fun trip, even though it lasted less than two days. It will be the last one I get for a while.
Vic and Justin found two baby possums in the backyard tonight. We had a helluva time getting them out, especially since one was pissed off after getting bitten by Vic's dog Bailey. I had no idea possums growled and hissed just like cats.
As Vic has noted, Tricky is great dirty sex music. Unfortunately, I was listening to it in the car on the way home from work.
Time to sleep, as I have several thirteen-plus hour days ahead of me. One of those days includes meeting with Robin about the costume shop job. I hope that goes well.
