Junhyung still remembered the first time he met his wife. He was five at that time, and he hung out at the park with the neighbor kids every afternoon. That day, he stood there like a statue with his ice-cream melting in his hand when he saw a blond kid at the playground. It was his first time seeing a kid with golden hair, and he was cute, very cute, super cute just like his noona’s precious doll. However, his cuteness did not make Junhyung want to break his neck or arms or legs.

“Hey you, Yellow Hair” Junhyung said when he approached the new kid. The other looked up at him with his tired dark-brown eyes.

“You called me?” he asked. His voice was so soft and sweet.

“Yes, you. You’re taking my spot” Junhyung saw the blond kid gasp at his toughness before standing up in order to move away.

“I’m so sorry… I didn’t know it’s your spot” he blushed as squeaking.

“But I can give you this spot…” Junhyung grabbed the other boy’s hand when they stood face-to-face “if you agree to be my wife”

“Be your wife?”

The blonde blinked at Junhyung’s straight face. He was not smiling since he heard that proposal was a serious business, and you were not supposed to smile when you were being serious. He firmly nodded in response.

The shorter boy considered something for awhile. Then his pink lips curved up into a smile.

“Okayyyy~” he cooed.

With that, Junhyung gave his favourite spot at the playground for the cute little boy that he had just met. He squatted beside him and they started to build a sand castle - a lovely castle for the new couple.

“What’s your name, Yellow Hair?”

“Yang Yoseob. You?”

“Yong Junhyung”

“Wow! Your name is so cool! You can be everyone’s ‘hyung’!”

Upon seeing Yoseob’s eyes sparkle on his surprised face, Junhyung grinned.

“Oh, you smiled! I was so scared because you hadn’t smiled at all”

‘My wife is just a kid. He sounds surprised toward everything.’

*********

Junhyung recalled the moment he officially proposed to his childhood crush, Yang Yoseob. It’s when Yoseob was going to graduate from high school and Junhyung was in his first year at a college. That time they were having curry and Junhyung suddenly said.

“Let’s get married when you finish high school, Seobie.”

Yoseob, with a mouthful of food, stared at Junhyung in silent. The look on his face didn’t change a bit. The feeling was still the same. Déjà vu. The serious Junhyung held his breath waiting for the answer from the cute boy who was not blond anymore.

Yoseob tilted his small head as chewing slowly. After swallowing the food, he flashed Junhyung a bright smile.

“Okayyyy~”

Just like it 14 years ago, Yoseob’s 'Okayyyy~' made Junhyung feel relieved. He smiled and held his soon-to-be-official-wife’s small hand when the latter continued to stuff his mouth with the delicious curry.

‘My wife is just a kid. He’s so carefree but he never lets me down.’

*********

They didn’t tell their family about their marriage because their parents wouldn’t approve it. They didn’t let their friends know as well. There was not any wedding party, either. They just simply exchanged their wedding ring after making the vow at the church, just two of them and their God. Yoseob did not complain anything; he was a very easy person. It was also fine to Junhyung since he’s likely to avoid troubles. As long as he could have Yoseob by his side, everything was alright.

They moved in together when Yoseob started to attend college. Every morning, Junhyung took his wife to school before driving to his own college. Sometimes they went home together, sometimes Yoseob took a bus. In the evening, they had dinner and watched TV or did their homework or played video games with each other before going to bed. During the weekend, they worked at the convenient store.

They usually shared warm hugs and kisses, not passionate kisses though, just pecks on the lips or cheeks since Yoseob was like a kid. Actually he was a kid. He always broke the kisses so fast to pay his attention to something else. The way Yoseob kissed Junhyung was similar to the way a baby kissed his/her parents, and of course, there was not love making between them. It was really weird for a married couple, wasn’t it? But Junhyung did not mind it. He respected Yoseob and never forced him to do anything.

The naïve Yoseob definitely knew nothing about adult activities. Junhyung could not have what he wanted as Yoseob kept looking at him with his angelic and innocent expression and asked him with a childish voice like ‘Are you tired, Junnie? Why are you hugging me so tightly? I can’t breathe…’ or ‘Are you hungry Junnie? I don’t have any candy in my pant pockets. I will cook for you.’

Junhyung did not care about all those strange things. He just knew one thing: Yoseob was his wife. They loved each other. Their life was wonderful. That was all he needed: Yang Yoseob in his life.

*********

Junhyung was so in love with Yoseob that he became blind. He realized it when he met Yoseob’s classmate, Yoon Doojoon. The manly guy greeted him friendly.

“You must be Yoseob’s housemate - Junhyung, right? I’m Yoon Doojoon. Nice to meet you.”

Although they agreed to keep their marital status as a secret, Junhyung could not help but felt something shatter inside him.

That day he did not talk to Yoseob while driving home, and so the smaller boy fell asleep in his seat. When their car stopped at the crossroad in front of the park, Junhyung heard two kids talking to each other.

“Let’s play family game~” the little girl suggested.

“I’m tired of that game. Let’s play something else” said the little boy.

“How can you get bored with family game? Every kid loves playing it” the girl pouted.

“It’s a game for kids. I’m not a kid anymore. I’m 6.”

“You’re still a kid! Let’s play family game~” she started to whine ignoring the boy’s protest.

Junhyung turned his gaze to the sleeping figure next to him. All he saw was a cute little kid sleeping peacefully. This kid, would he be fed up with the family game when he grew up? Junhyung chuckled bitterly at that thought. It had never been a game to him. He had been serious about this relationship and their marriage from the beginning, but he never knew if Yoseob felt the same.

‘My wife is just a kid. Does he know how much I love him?’

*********

“Junnie-ah, I will go to bed first” Yoseob said as kicking his shoes off.

He let out a small yelp when Junhyung suddenly grasped his wrist and turned him to face the latter. The brunette crashed their lips together while holding Yoseob’s hands against his chest.

Junhyung’s eyes snapped open when Yoseob pushed him.

“I want to sleep. I’m tired” he pursed his lips, tried to withdraw his wrist from Junhyung’s grip. The taller one nodded and let go of his wife.

“I’m sorry. I just wanted to give you a goodnight kiss” he smiled sadly at the yawning child in front of him “Sleep tight, Seobie”

“Night, Junnie. Don’t stay up too late” Yoseob babbled as walking toward their bedroom.

‘My wife is just a kid. He breaks my heart for being so clueless’

After that time, Junhyung stopped hugging and kissing Yoseob. He was rarely at home due to his busy schedule. His college was going to have an anniversary so he spent most of his time working with his classmate preparing for it. When he got home, Yoseob had already lost in his dreamland.

Junhyung watched his adorable wife sleeping when devoured by the pain from his broken heart.

“You fool, Yang Yoseob. You shouldn’t have said yes to my proposal when you don’t even know if you love me. Being husband and wife is completely different from being housemates, silly kid…”

*********

“Junhyungsshi”

Junhyung gazed up at the girl who called his name.

“Yes, Eunjaesshi?”

“Can you take me home today?” she shyly asked.

“Sure. Your car is out of order again?” Junhyung questioned when continuing putting the decorations into the box.

“Yeah. It’s so troublesome, especially when my boyfriend is not in Korea now. Guess I will need to buy a new car soon” Eunjae sighed as helping Junhyung arrange the tools “I’m so sorry for bothering you, Junhyungsshi”

“It’s okay. We’re classmates, and you’ve helped me a lot as well” Junhyung politely smiled back at her “I will put this stuff away and get my car”

“I will wait here then”

“Junhyung” sounded a familiar voice.

Junhyung and Eunjae looked back and saw their classmates standing with a black-haired boy

“Yoseob?” Junhyung muttered.

“This guy was looking for you, Yong Jun, so we took him here” a guy said as they were walking toward them.

“Why are you here?”

“You’re not happy seeing me here? Thought we would go home together?” Yoseob puffed his cheeks making Eunjae giggled at him.

“Is this cute boy your little brother, Junhyungsshi?” she asked.

“No, he is…”

“I’m not his little brother” Yoseob suddenly interrupted Junhyung before he stepped forward and held on his husband’s arm “In fact, I’m his wife”

Junhyung’s classmates’ jaw dropped. Then they burst out laughing guessing it was just a joke, but upon seeing Yoseob’s sweet and confident smile as well as the shocked expression plastered on Junhyung’s face, they started to realize that it might be the truth.

“Can we go home now, Junnie? I’m hungry” Yoseob shook the older boy’s arm and pouted.

“But I need to take Eunjaesshi home first” replied Junhyung calmly earning another huff from his little wife.

“Ah yes, Junhyungsshi, I remembered I still have something to discuss with our monitor about the ceremony” Eunjae smiled awkwardly at the couple “I will have him take me home then”

The brunette raised his eyebrow in suspicion, but he decided to ignore it due to his classmates’ uncomfortable appearance.

“I see. So I’m leaving now. See you tomorrow” he bade his goodbye. Beside him, Yoseob bowed his head.

“Goodbye” he beamed.

“B-Bye” Junhyung’s classmates waved at them.

*********

“Why did you act like that?” asked Junhyung after Yoseob sat himself in their car.

“Act like what?” the younger one questioned without looking at his husband’s face as fastening his seatbelt.

“You suddenly came to my college and lied about us going home together. You even revealed our true relationship in front of my classmates. What’s with you?”

Junhyung stopped nagging once Yoseob looked up at him with a straight face.

“I don’t want that girl to take over my seat”

“Pardon?”

“I saw you taking her home a few days ago. I don’t like it. This is my seat.” Yoseob crossed his arms over his chest and furrowed his eyebrows making Junhyung roll his eyes.

“You’re so childish” he mumbled and looked away.

“But I’m your wife! What’s wrong with it if a wife gets jealous seeing his husband with another girl?”

“You… jealous?” Junhyung couldn’t believe what he just heard.

Yoseob wiped his blushing cheek as tears began to fall from his eyes.

“You’ve been avoiding me by saying that you’re busy with your college’s anniversary, but then you’re with some girl behind my back. You let her sit in my seat. You even smiled at her!”

Now Junhyung felt really confused, especially when Yoseob started to sob.

“W-What are you talking about? She’s just a classmate, and I didn’t avoid you.”

“Liar! You’ve stopped hugging and kissing me for a week! You must be tired of me, right?!”

Yoseob covered his face and cried as if there’s no tomorrow. That broke Junhyung’s heart. The latter immediately hugged his crying wife and patted his head.

“Silly, I’m not tired of you. Never”

“I thought you would be mine forever once we got married, but why - hmph?”

Junhyung shut the whining kid in his arms with a passionate kiss. He didn’t care if Yoseob would push him away like he always did. This time he definitely wouldn’t let go that easily.

‘My wife is just a kid. He’s so sensitive and possessive over me’

To Junhyung’s surprise, Yoseob deepened the kiss. He undid the seatbelt before leaning to his husband. Junhyung wrapped his arms around Yoseob’s small waist and pulled him onto his lap. The shorter boy ran his fingers into Junhyung’s silky hair and let out a soft moan as their tongue tangled.

When they broke the kiss for air, Junhyung smirked at the crimson red Yoseob who was trying to hide the excitement in his jeans.

“I thought you’re an innocent kid?” he joked wiping the trail of saliva on Yoseob’ chin and licked his finger.

“I’m married to you so I’m not a kid anymore” Yoseob insisted and moved back to his seat. He gasped when Junhyung spanked his butt out of blue.

“W-What?” he stuttered, faced reddened even more.

“You will still be a kid to me even if I’ve taken you here” the handsome man whistled, kept patting his blushing wife’s rear.

“Pervert!” exclaimed the tiny headed boy while the other laughed out loud.

*********

“You know, the first time we met at the park, I agreed to be your wife just because I wanted to have your spot”

Yoseob whispered as he cuddled with Junhyung when they were sitting at the balcony enjoying the bright full moon in the velvet sky.

“Uh huh, I could understand that” Junhyung hummed softly with his eyes closed and his arm was around Yoseob’s slender shoulders.

“You were so good to me that I couldn’t find any reason to reject your proposal. I knew I would be happy living with you. That’s why I wanted to keep you for myself.”

“You shouldn’t marry someone because he treats you nicely, Seobie. You should marry him because you love him.”

“But I don’t know what love is, Junnie” Yoseob sighed when Junhyung kissed his hair and held him closer “I just dislike the strange feelings I have when you hug and kiss me. It makes me nervous. It makes my heart beat so fast. It’s so uncomfortable. It’s not like that when we were young…”

The brunette chuckled at his wife’s silly confession.

“So that’s the reason you never let me kiss you properly?”

Yoseob nodded his head in reply.

“However, it felt worse when you were not around to hug and kiss me or when you just looked at me with those weary eyes, and I couldn’t stand it when I saw you with that girl. Am I selfish and stupid?”

Junhyung looked into Yoseob’s puppy eyes and grinned.

“You’re a selfish and stupid kid, but you’re my wife. I’ve loved you since the very first moment we met… blindly loved you, Yoseobie”

Yoseob felt his cheeks heating up when Junhyung gazed at him with such beautiful and gentle eyes. He unconsciously pushed the taller guy when he leaned forward to kiss him. Junhyung smiled and held Yoseob’s hands.

“Don’t be afraid, Seobie” he whispered.

“I-I’m not afraid” protested Yoseob weakly before their lips touched.

‘My wife is just a kid. Even if he doesn’t know what love is, even if he doesn’t understand my feeling, even if he loves me like a kid loves his toy, I’m happy to have him as my wife.’

“Tonight I’m making you my real wife, Yang Yoseob”

A/N: I finished this fic yesterday aka my 22nd birthday keke Although the feeling was not that good, I’m satisfied that I’ve made it :DDDD
