Summary: HyunSeung thought that Yoseob was trying to attract his attention.

Hyunseung opened his eyes slowly when the stylish noona finished putting make-up on his face. He looked at the giant mirror in front of him to check again. Everything seemed perfect. He totally looked like a prince.
“Thank you, noona.”
Hyunseung flashed the stylish noona a charming smile making her sigh in content. Suddenly, he noticed something in the mirror. From the reflection, he could see that Yoseob was looking at him from afar as he was standing with Doojoon and Junhyung on the other side of the room. Hyunseung couldn’t tell if the shorter guy was actually staring at him due to the blank expression on Yoseob's face. Plus, the moment Junhyung put his arm around Yoseob’s shoulder, the baby-faced singer smiled and returned to the conversation with his group mates.
Hyunseung blinked a few times confusedly before the manager told him to get ready for the stage. Glancing at Yoseob’s reflection one more time from the corner of his eyes, Hyunseung realized that the younger boy rarely smiled at him like the way he did to the others.
After that day, Hyunseung started to be aware of Yoseob. For a long time, he didn’t notice Yoseob’s weird behaviors toward him. The blonde often gazed at him secretly with an inexplicable expression. Although Hyunseung acted like he did not know anything about it, from the inside he was really curious about what was in Yoseob’s mind while he was looking at him like that.
Day after day, Hyunseung felt Yoseob’s eyes on him more. Yoseob watched him in daze as he was dancing, but when he turned to him, the shortie appeared like he was thinking of something then began to do a few dance moves. When they sat opposite each other, having lunch together, Hyunseung swore that Yoseob kept looking at him even though he made an excuse that he was looking for the waiter.
‘Could it be his way to attract my attention?’ Hyunseung wondered one day.
It was true that he did not treat Yoseob like other members did. Whenever Yoseob sat alone or curled into a ball on the couch or let out a sigh, the others would come to check if he felt alright. Dongwoon would offer him some snack. Junhyung would tell jokes. Doojoon would suggest him to play games together. In short, Yoseob was like a spoiled kid that got everyone’s attention. Perhaps he felt strange when Hyunseung never did the same? Hyunseung was always in his own world, and now that little kid wanted to drag him out of his 4D world in order to make him care for him as well?
‘That’s so greedy, Yoseob…’ He frowned at that thought.
However, when Hyunseung saw Yoseob chat and laugh with other members instead of looking at him, he strangely felt frustrated.
‘If you want to grab my attention, you should try harder Yang Yoseob.’
It came the day they filming the HuH teaser with 4Minute. Hyunseung had his hair dyed black a few days ago. The stylish noona said that he would look great with black hair and eyeliner in the white outfit.
Yoseob, after changing into his white hoodie and white loose pants, ran around the dressing room, making fun of everyone. He must be hyper due to the hot cocoa Doojoon gave him earlier. When his stylish noona made him sit next to Hyunseung to fix his blond bangs, he took a glance at the older boy. Hyunseung’s sharp eyes didn’t miss that.
It was kind of awkward as they were gazing at the same mirror but pretending to look at any things but each other’s face. Finally Hyunseung decided to close his eyes and acted like he fell asleep. He heard Yoseob sigh quietly followed by the stylist’s voice.
“Stay still Yoseobie or your sweat will ruin the make-up”
“Okay~” Yoseob replied with his baby voice
‘Spoiled brat’, those two words came up in Hyunseung’s mind before he dozed off for real.
After awhile, Hyunseung got up and found himself sitting alone in the dressing room with Yoseob. Yoseob? He could see in the mirror Yoseob was staring blankly at him.
“Why you keep looking at me like that?” he turned to face the lead vocalist and asked with an irritated tone.
To his surprise, Yoseob’s expression did not change as if staring at other people’s face was a normal thing to him.
“Well” Yoseob smiled shyly showing his dimples “I just think that you look so pretty”
Hyunseung raised his eyebrows at Yoseob’s odd answer.
‘Is he confessing his love to me?’ he asked himself
Yoseob saw the confusion in Hyunseung’s eyes and giggled.
“I know it’s weird but I really admire you, Hyunseungie. You are good looking. You sing and dance so well. You also look calm and mature. I wish I could be like you…” the younger boy then lowered his voice “I sometimes feel bad for envying you…”
The room became silent after Yoseob finished his talking. Now it was really awkward. Hyunseung didn’t know how to respond. For months he thought that Yoseob was trying to get his attention while in fact, the other boy just admired his handsomeness. Wasn’t it a little bit disappointing…?
“Yah! Why you are talking like that?” Finally Hyunseung managed to speak “You are the lead vocalist with a powerful vocal. You just need to work harder on the dancing part”
“I know… But I want to appear cool and charming too” Yoseob pouted making Hyunseung roll his eyes.
“Being that cute is not enough to you? Don’t be so greedy, brat!”
The next thing Hyunseung seeing was Yoseob laughing out loud at his nagging.
‘I thought he was down 30 seconds ago?’
However, he still felt relieved that the sensitive kid became cheerful again.
“Hyunseung-ah” Their eyes met when Yoseob called his name “I will work harder to be as good as you. Let’s work hard together, okay?”
Hyunseung could see those wide eyes sparkle and that confident smile shine brightly. That was such a wonderful moment. No wonder this kid is the apple of everyone’s eye.
“And I’m sorry for irritating you with the way I look at you” Yoseob stuck his tongue out cutely “It won’t happen again”
“Hyunseungie, Yoseobie, we’re gonna start shooting soon. Get ready” said Joonkun on the other side of the closed door.
“We’re coming, hyung!” Yoseob shouted back before standing up “We should leave, Hyunseungie”
When he was about to leave his seat, Hyunseung grabbed his arm.
“Hm? What?” The clueless blonde blinked as his group mate moved closer to him.
“You might not notice this, Yoseobie” Hyunseung said under his breath “but you succeeded in attracting my attention”
Yoseob’s eyes opened wider when Hyunseung closed the gap between them by planting a kiss on his lips.
“And don’t ever stop looking at me” Jang Prince commanded huskily before leading the blushing visual maknae out of the changing room.
N/A: I was about to finish every version and post them at once, but Yoseobie’s birthday came faster than I expected LOL I would feel guilty if I did not do something for him on his day, so I managed to post the first version today keke It’s also the motivation for me to finish the rest I’m a lazy person.
