Well, we hired my replacement, and I think she's getting the boot over the weekend.
I feel really badly about it, but she's not the right type of person for this position. You have to have fundamental computer skills, as well as be able to do more than one thing at a time.
I don't think she has the basic computer skills to begin with, and she can't handle more than one thing at a time.
My job is super super super easy. I upload photos of properties to a website, that shows the work we did on the property. It's cake. It can be fast paced and stressful because three different people will call while you are doing this and call and need information that only you can get to.
But it's not hard. AT ALL. She struggled with even the basics like picking up pictures and moving them into a different folder.
:( I think they are going to do a few more interviews over the weekend and maybe pick another person for me to train.
I hate to see someone not succeed, but I also would hate for Kevin and Sarah to be stuck with someone who can't keep up. Kevin is like me, he holds people to HIGh standards. He is very bright, and like me, he has a hard time with people not picking up on things as quickly as he does.
He would get frustrated with this lady in two seconds flat, and Kevin is NOT one to hide his feelings on ANYthing! LOL!
So, back to the drawing board.
I will say that Friday, training this lady all day, made me want to pull what little hair I have left right on outta my head. I just wanted to tell her to move, so I could do the work!
