Yep, It's official. I am now an ordained minister. (quit laughing!)I got my diploma/certificate/holy writ in the mail yesterday, so now I can listen to your problems, dispense advice, lead discussions and tell parables. Wait, how is that different from before? Oh, yeah, the piece of paper...

I was going to reply by posting the quote from Monty Python's The Meaning of Life, the one about how people aren't wearing enough hats, and keep getting distracted from spiritual matters by mundane things, when someone asks "What was that about hats again?" It seemed appropriate, being as how the most commonly asked questions about my new church concerned hats. I couldn't find it, because the IMDB page I needed was blocked buy adultfilter, of course. SO, I spent my remaining time trying to find the quote elsewhere, and never got around to writing an answer at all.

I hope that means I still have a chance at a pope hat. Or at least a sombrero.

Harry: I've had a team working on this over and over the past few weeks, and what we've come up with can be reduced to two fundamental concepts...
1...People are not wearing enough hats.
2...Matter is energy; in the universe there are many energy fields which we can not normally perceive. Some energies have a spiritual source which acts upon a persons soul. However, this soul does not exist ab initio, as orthodox christianity teaches; it has to be brought into existence by a process of guided self observation. However, this is rarely achieved owing to man's unique ability to be distracted from spiritual matters by everyday trivia.

Max: What was that about hats again?

I like the shape of this hat. Needs a little something different added, though. I must think on this.

Perhaps if you could wind up the cross on top, and then the hat would spin and open in segments, with clockwork figures doing interesting things inside.

What could be more appropriate than the chapeau of Mustrum Ridcully?

Jen has suggested that. From what people have suggested, I need a cross between a papal tiara and a sombrero, with a ton of spangles and blinky lights. Perhaps I shall just wear my backpack on my head.

Which begs the question, which came first? The backpack....or Will?
