[It's Monday afternoon, and Megumi has time to spare before his shift at work begins. He's situated himself at the park, beneath a large shady tree. He's sitting in a folding chair, holding onto a full-sized cello with one hand and holding the bow with the other. The instrument's case is resting on the ground beside him with the case is closed and ( Read more... )

[Salieri's strolling through the park, as he is wont to do, as his ears pick up the familiar tones of Bach drifting through the air. It isn't long before he's standing nearby where Megumi is playing, eyes closed as he allows himself to appreciate the music. He remains respectfully quiet until he is finished, or at least between songs, before clapping softly.]

[He looks up after finishing one of the songs, bowing his head in gratitude.]

[He might not be showing it, but the inner music nerd in him is dorking oh so very much.]

Indeed I have. Symphonies, overtures, concertos--mostly instrumental pieces. I've heard recordings of one of your operas, though I must sincerely apologize, the name of it completely eludes me.

[Carefully, he sets down his bow and cello to stand up out of respect.]

On that note, I must say it is truly an honor.

Would it be Armida, by any chance? That one really brought down the house when we played it in Vienna.

I don't believe so... [He raises his hand to his chin, thinking.

It was Les Danaïdes.

Ah, one of my more recent works. Tell me, what did you think of it?

I was especially fond of the finale, but I enjoyed it overall.

[Bows his head graciously.]

"I am certainly glad to hear it."
