Night Rider

Worked OT tonight. Attached lights to bike after, and rode home. Attachment was fairly simple, and the lights seem to work quite nicely for the purpose. Although I really only need them to indicate to people that I am there, the bike path does have a few dark sections where the extra light would be useful for spotting any obstructions that migth have popped into being since the last time I'd passed through. Only hitch in setting things up was that my helmet-lamp seems to have decided that actually lighting up isn't worth doing. I suspect it managed to turn itself on in my bag at some point and has run the batteries down. Also, the attaching-to-helmet part really isn't working quite right yet. Once I get new batteries, I'll try it again so I can have a directional "where I am looking" light and a more static "where I am going" light.

Beyond that, quite enjoying things stuill, though I often find myself dreading the morning ride (it is more difficult in many ways, and leaves me feeling a little gross all day on top of that). I expect I will start taking the bus in more often (assumign I can get up on time) and riding home after work.

life, bike
