Wonderfully written post. "Which just goes to show that the world is an unjust place and while no good deed goes unpunished, apparently every bad deed is richly rewarded."
I agree that good deeds are too often forgotten... while that evil deed and its surroundings turned into an engaging detective story.
But in that story you definitely took the role of the hero - whether that reflects what really happened outsider me won't know, but it certainly seems like a good deed was remembered.
Might well be I just missed the point completely and revealed my ignorance. What can one expect from a random person's two penn'orth :)

Going back to Msscribe, I would bet that she has the same rewards for her bad deeds as I do from mine: fond memories and some really good friends.
I hope that all of us will soon be able to say "all is well" again.
