It seems like all my favorite (living) authors are getting blogs lately*. I just stumbled across Laurie King's and found this fascinating piece of info:

A: Each of the Russells contains one of those items from the BEEKEEPER’S APPRENTICE forward. Pretty soon I’m going to run out of things to plant, and will have to rewrite the forward to compensate.
But what most people don’t know is that each of the Martinellis contains an homage to Dorothy L. Sayers. Can you find them?
A reason to re-read all her novels! (though, actually, I've already recognized most of the trunk items)
