Hommous Recipe

nicole, re-written up here by me for my convenience. And your culinary enjoyment. Om nom nom.

YOU WILL NEED: A food processor.

INGREDIENTS:

1 can of chick peas, drained
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons tahini
Juice of 1 lemon
Salt and pepper

INSTRUCTIONS:
  1. Put chick peas, garlic tahini, lemon juice, salt and pepper into food processor. Zap/pulse a few times until things start to break up.
  2. Scrape the sides of the food processor down and add the oil and blend with processor until the mixture becomes smoother.
  3. If you have extra flavouring ingredients - like roasted garlic cloves, or roasted capsicum, or coriander - add and blend in briefly.
  4. Serve!
It keeps in the fridge for about a week.
