Difficult Week
I haven't worked out how to cross post from FB to here, so I've aggregated my thoughts for the week.

Yesterday Evening:
Phew! "Blue Hoodie Guy" has been arrested by police and is being questioned. I hope my suburb can relax now as the neighbourhood has been very tense this week. I don't want to articulate on what may have happened to Jill as this is very sad :(

I'm devastated at the news this morning :(. This is such a sad ending:( We have all gone out to dinner at night, then walked back to our car in the late night, not expecting something like this to happen :(
Sydney road is one place I would not have second thoughts walking down even at 2am as it is well lit and has lots of passing traffic day and night. FFS, the police station was less than 50 metres away from where Jill disappeared :(
The rumbling thunder overhead right now reflects my feelings :(

I will NOT be more cautious, I will NOT hesitate when walking down the street, I will NOT deviate my path home to avoid scary places,
I WILL NOT LIVE IN FEAR!!

Off to light a candle for Jill Meagher; yes I AM going to walk through the streets of Brunswick and Hope St in the dark. First man to even look at me askance, let alone talk to me will be disembowelled with my bare hands.
Say NO to being scared and afraid!

It was a very sad and sombre experience. Lots of tributes all along that section of Sydney Road - Flowers and candles at the nearby church, more flowers and candles at the dress shop, and then again at the Hope Street corner. I didn't linger as I didn't know Jill, but just wanted to show my solidarity with the many other people there.
