Davey fucking Richards was here, on March 9th, and I missed him.
There is just one indy fed here, ECCW. I had a short run going, but it wasn't really to my taste. But that was where I saw Davey Richards for the first time and fell in love with him. Pacific Cup 2005. I checked the ECCW website in January and told myself to keep an eye on the Pacific Cup since that was pretty much the only event where Davey might come back for even though the chances were slim to none.
The whole thing slipped my mind. I just checked. Pacific Cup came and went. And Davey was there.
Considering he's a ROH mainstay these days, comes out to PWG very sporadically now and I'm also really unlikely to go to PWG again anyway... yeah, there went my best opportunity to see him for a long long time.
