Meh

Despite my best intentions, I find that I've been spending more and more time on Tumblr and less and less over here. It's a vicious cycle. I think most people on my flist have either migrated over to Tumblr or just quiet in general. For me, on LJ, when I have something I'm super excited about, I post 203948203 times in a row, but normally, I'm fairly reticent. Tumblr requires zero brain power, but it's horrible for actual conversation.

I don't really have a point per se. Because this isn't an abandon ship post. A part of me wants to make more of an effort over here, but another part of me thinks if that isn't futile effort? IDK IDK.

Anyway, for the sake of some content, these are the shows I'm currently watching:

Once Upon a Time
Person of Interest
Elementary
Arrow
Dexter
Criminal Minds

With regards to Elementary, I'm going to say right off the bat now that I have VERY strong feelings about it. If you have issues with Lucy Liu's casting or you feel that BBC Sherlock is maligned in some way by the existence of this show, I have to ask that you defriend me. It'll be better that way, trust me.

On happier note, I'm loving the shit out of OUaT and PoI. I was fearful of a sophomore slump for both shows, but they're just banging it every week. PoI especially is delightful in the extreme. I think it takes me about an hour and a half to watch each ep because I frequently have to pause in order to squeal or rewatch scenes 2304982304 times.

Arrow is my new love. It's terribad good. I think I've given up on Supernatural at this point, and Arrow has taken its place as my lulzy CW show of choice. It's possible that I will go back and power through SPN once the season's over, but right now, I have no interest in seeing it week to week. I couldn't even get past the 15 minute mark for the season premiere. I saw the hug and even that felt kinda hollow to me, so.

Dexter is amaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaazing. Jennifer Carpenter for all the fucking awards. MCH, too, poor guy.

I'm not so much back on board the CM train as I'm just... idk. I am not as insanely passionate about it as I once was. It's sort of something to watch. The worst seems to be over at least. I miss the hell out of Prentiss. Emily is one of my favorite characters ever, not just on the show, but of all time across the board. I am enjoying Jeanne Tripplehorn though. I feel like she is meshing well.

IDK what is up with Garcia though. They've been really weird with her character for the last two seasons, and it isn't getting any better. I don't know if it's because the writers on staff just don't know how to deal with her, or they don't like her, or what. But the magic that made Penelope unique is just not there for me anymore. Honestly, she's grating the shit out of me and it's getting to the point of no return. Sigh. Reid has terrible hair again, too. At least Thomas Gibson seems to be gaining some weight back. I know it's because he was marathoning and stuff, so it isn't like it was a bad health thing, but it was kind of a startling weight loss. It's nice to see his face more filled out.

For Hotch though... as much as I like Beth, I kind of hate how they've swept what the Reaper did to Hotch under the rug. CM's always been a show that doesn't forget shit. See all the mentions of Gideon long after Mandy left the show. But it's like the Reaper never happened to Hotch. I felt like they dropped the fucking ball so bad after "Slave of Duty" and then they just kept compounding the oversight. I'm really really disappointed. It was the closest that network TV ever got to portraying a central male character suffering from sexual assault, and to wipe that slate clean is just... urgh.

-_- Well I guess I do still feel pretty strongly about CM. That's a lot of paragraphs.

Okay, that's all for now. I'm going to try and post more dammit.

arrow, dexter, supernatural, person of interest, once upon a time, criminal minds
