(no subject)
I've been saying that I don't feel fic vibes for PoI, but the truth is, I actually kinda do want to write something. I always do when I get this obsessed with a show. I just don't have any ideas. With that said, this just means my brain shops my long list of stand-by ideas to see if they fit PoI's premise.
I've been wanting to write amnesia!fic for MI4, but I haven't started it. I only have a vague outline, which worked nice as idle thoughts in my head, but I wasn't sure if it was gonna work on paper (so to speak). I've written what I've wanted to write for MI4 at this point and my desire to keep going in that fandom is waning, not to mention that fandom as a whole is dying down considerably. I have two other things on my board for MI4 (Jane/Hanaway sadpiece, Leverage!AU sparked by a prompt on the meme requesting the team as a crime unit), but I'm fairly okay with letting them go. So basically put, I'm probably closing the chapter on MI4.
Which means I wanna shop my amnesia!fic idea to PoI.
Part of the inspiration is from A Talented Man (a FANTASTIC fic btw, go read!), which has Elias finding Reese before Finch does. The developing antagonism between Reese and Elias on the show is total wigglepants territory. Reese is like I HATE YOU ESPECIALLY AFTER 1.17 while Elias is all HELLO DETECTIVE. So yeah. Amnesia!fic, where Reese gets bonked on the head, loses his memories, and Elias is the one who finds him first. EVIL ENSUES. Finch gets super worried and eventually tracks Reese down, then we get the vital and obligatory NO REESE COME BACK TO MEEEEEEE scene.
I don't even know if I want this to be slash or not.
LOL, what am I talking about, of course it'd be slash. I kinda see Reese/Elias, tbh. Foe!yay FTW.
But it'd be long and plotty, and I just don't have a good track record with long and plotty. I really want to write that follow-up to "Scorpion" for White Collar. I think I actually know how to rework my original concept so that it could follow up to current canon and that fic, but... long and plotty. Plus, uh, there's that long and plotty Seeker AU that I really really ought to go back to. It's been on hiatus for months now. Dammit. And of course, the ultimate in long and plotty and stupendously stalled, "Incendium".
