My friend S, who is a real Highlander uber-fan says it's terrible. From that, I assumed it was Uwe Boll levels of terrible.

It's really really really bad. I'd say it's a 0.7 Uwe. The only good thing about the movie is that it's got a lot more of my favorite character than I expected, but they really threw everything about the series out the window.

It's beautiful, truly beautiful. If you haven't seen Spoony One's review, it's worth checking out, too. You will laugh for days.

I shall have to see the review when I get home.

This movie is SO FUCKING BAD. But it's mitigated by the fact that there's a lot of Methos in it, and he's fairly IC even though the whole movie is off the rails and the writing forgets a lot of things that should hold over from the series.
