Years and years and years of writing niche pairings and obscure fandoms have made me utterly unsympathetic to people whining about how there isn't X sort of fic, whether it's a show or a pairing or a genre or what have you, and I'm especially annoyed when that person is clearly a fandom experienced person, or worse, a BNF. Hey, how about looking a little harder beyond your friendslist? Yeah, I know you've got 100+ people on your flist, but there's a whole fucking fandom world out there beyond your sycophants. If you're not willing to put in the time, then STFU. And what grinds my gears the most is that these people who bitch about it NEVER DO ANYTHING TO PROMOTE WHAT THEY WANT. Oh, they bitch, but they are inevitably people whom I've never seen leave a single piece of feedback to anyone. Clearly, I'm not omniscient, but I know, because I've seen it too many times. More often than not, they'll whine about how nobody is writing A/B while everybody is writing X/Y, but they don't feedback A/B when it shows up, they don't create productive discussions to inspire others to write it, they just want free shit served up to them without any effort whatsoever. I know "if it ain't there, write it yourself" cannot apply to everyone, but how about the simple fucking logic of if you encourage it, people will write it.
Yeah, look at me, wrestlefandom hasn't left me bitter at allllllllllllll, lol. One of the biggest mysteries of my life will forever be the WTF of people demanding to know where all the AJ/Daniels fics are at, and I'm there twiddling my thumbs, and then followed by the weird backlash of AJ/Daniels is dominating everything omg, and I'm there twiddling my thumbs.
i feel strongly about this,
f is for fail,
bitch please,
whiney pants,
i hate wrestlefandom
