NCIS: LA, the backdoor pilot // Heroes
I saw the two-parter on NCIS that served as a backdoor pilot for NCIS: LA. I did a lot of fast-forwarding because I didn't care much about the NCIS part of it. There was Louise Lombard, whom I really liked on CSI, but annoyed me a lot here. :( Probably because she has Sekrit Past with Gibbs, and well, I hate Mark Harmon. A LOT. I don't particularly care for the part where G. knows Gibbs, too. Man, does everybody have Sekrit Past with Gibbs or something?
Interesting to see the changes versus the actual first episode of the show. I like the changes. As much as I like Lombard, Macy doesn't do much for me, and I like the replacement with Linda Hunt instead. You don't get to see very many older women on television, especially ones who aren't mothers or grandmothers, so this is excellent. The locale change is nice, too. Pretty over practical. I like it!
LL Cool J didn't get much to do in the two episodes, which was disappointing. More and more, I find the idea of Chris O'Donnell playing some kind of master undercover guy HILARIOUS, because, well, no. I think he's improved since his Robin days, but he's no Jeffrey Donovan on Burn Notice if you get my drift.
So when I saw 1.01, I didn't realize G. gets shot in "Legend Pt. 2". I thought that was just vague backstory. Somehow this is even more delicious, because they START the show with Sam being all STAY WITH ME OMG and cradling G. in his arms. THEY START THE SHOW RUN THIS WAY YOU GUYS. Most other shows WORK UP to that.
I like Kenzie a LOT more in the two-parter than in 1.01. Since I buy into the ridiculousness of the show, I enjoyed her bashing in the car and waving her gun about.
You know what'd be hilarious? That there isn't some Giant Mystery behind G. getting shot. They seem to imply Russian chick was spying on him, and therefore possibly part of A Conspiracy. Maybe she really thinks G. is Russian mafia, and she was just getting her revenge on. And really, G., there are better ways to discourage a girl than by PRETENDING TO BE RUSSIAN MAFIA. Like making out with Sam on a regular basis. :D :D :D
As for Heroes, I only have one thing to say:
AMNESIAC SYLAR JOINS THE CIRCUS
IDK what is up with my shows being extra lolarious lately. I'm gonna end up busting out the LOLSROYCE on Thursday for The Mentalist. OH SHIT WAIT. THERE'S NO NEW EP THIS WEEK. Sadface.
