Okay, I was super super excited about S5. I know I haven't really said anything, but I was gearing up to it. I actually don't even mind the Paris Hilton thing. I haven't been this enthused about SPN in a long time.
But there's a new 5.01 preview, in which some super enthused fangirl finds the Winchesters and proceeds to grope Sam all over.
I really like Chuck, actually. I sometimes enjoy meta moments on a show. The concept of "The Monster At The End of This Book" is one that I like. It's just the execution left a sour taste in my mouth. So this is basically gonna be a repeat of that. Thanks. If you'll recall, I despised the calling-out moment. This feels like that some more.
Give fans shit ALL YOU WANT to our face. I think that's why I have no problem with Misha. He calls us on our bullshit, but we, as fans, get to respond to him directly. When Kripke does it IN THE TEXT OF HIS SHOW, there is no such recourse. I know I'm getting my panties in a bunch over something really retarded, but I just find that so fucking unprofessional, and I don't care that it's "fond ribbing." I've NEVER found ribbing hilarious. I've NEVER found teasing all that enjoyable, unless it's from somebody I know VERY well and trust already. This bullshit has no place on television.
Some people find it hilarious and wonderful and think of it as some sort of validation. Fine, whatever, so be it. Good for you. But I fucking hate it.
