It's actually a really really good movie, if you ignore the fact that Julia Roberts is in it. And RDJ was supposed to be in this movie instead of John Cusack, which always makes for an interesting what-if

I have to admit to a soft spot in my heart for America's Sweethearts because of how I saw it (in the middle of Germany on an exchange visit) and that hypothetical fic would be awesome.

Admittedly, I worry who'd be playing Billy Crystal's character.

The movie is a Hollywood satire, which, if I turned into fic, would not be something that I could carry over well. Admittedly, it's the idea of Hollywood power couple now split but forced to be together for movie press that appealed to me, on a fic-level. So pretty much Billy Crystal is a reduced role, and there wouldn't be a Julia Roberts equivalent. Since, in my head, it'd be about getting the couple back together.

Then again, I could always cast it very differently. Hm.
