In the interest of brevity:
Supernatural. Your reliable purveyor of emoporn since 2005! Also, WANK ON CRAZY FANDOM. *thumbs up!*
The Mentalist. Fuck Edward Cullen. Simon Baker is the TRUE sparkle. Accept no substitute, embrace the REAL sparkle. A part of me still thinks it's completely ridiculous that 16 million people watch this show when it isn't very good, but at the same time, THAT IS THE POWER OF HIS SHINY, and I cannot argue with that. And you know, I always give points for knowing what you are, embracing it, and doing it well. If anything, that's what this show is. It completely embraces the fact that this is Simon Baker Being Sparkly For An Hour, and it does that really really well. So. Points.
Life. I'm completely behind. Need to catch up. I'm super duper pleased that it got its back nine, but at the same time, I hate to admit this, but I've kinda fallen a little out of love with this show. :( It's Tidwell, man. It doesn't help that it's become a divisive issue for me where the fandom is concerned. Thank god
grimorie agrees with me about him. DON'T YOU START LIKING HIM OKAY???
Heroes. Dude, omg, I was telling
yesdrizella that I'm gonna rate each episode based on the amount of Petrellicest. Then "Villains" aired, and I was like OMFG DIES. That ep = A++++ where Petrellicest is concerned. I don't even care that within the very same episode, they massively fucked their own canon, their timeline, and characterization. I watch for the LULZ. And the bro!yay. I only lose my patience with this show when there isn't enough Nathan/Peter.
Prison Break. I don't know if it's just me, but I feel like Wentworth Miller is kinda off and on this season. Sometimes he's bang on perfect, and sometimes I feel like he's dragging his heels, like shades of S3. It's pure speculation on my part, as I've said before, I do feel like Wentworth dragged in S3 because of the heat. He has said that he doesn't really want to do more PB after this season, so maybe he's burning out, and that's the cause of this season's dragging. Granted, Michael is a piece of rock. Back when I first started watching, I thought WM had the range of a wooden plank until I saw what was going on. But it's just off for me sometimes this season, especially this past Monday. I think it's because everybody got their Bellick moment in, but Michael didn't, not really. And that bugs me. I don't think he's had a decent reaction moment. Even T-Bag got it, and it's just wrong that T-Bag does and Michael doesn't.
Criminal Minds. Hotch LAUGHING at the end of last week's episode BLEW. MY. MIND. Holy shit, you mean he's still capable of happiness? Maybe he isn't hanging so dearly on as we thought, though I still think this season is gonna do something terrible to him, and we get to see him snap in some totally heartbreaking way. Also, I love Reid. I really do. But that's two seasons now where he's nabbed the mid-season two-parter arc. I mean, we've gotten more backstory on him than just about anybody else on the show, and really, I love Reid, but I want Emily backstory nao plz. Or hey, straightening out Hotch's timeline would also be fab. Oh, and I'm almost starting to really like Rossi. What the shit is this?!
In other news,
miriel blames me for encouraging her SPN RPS bunny, but I blame her for making me a little more batshit over J2 than I was before. I've always been into Jared/Jensen. How can you not with two guys who publically adore each other as much as they do. My truest OTP of all times is AJ/Daniels, but, you know, I ship them mostly in-character. I don't tread RPS territory for them, I appreciate their RL friendship, and I do so love the fact that they named their kids after each other, but you know. Married in real life. To other people. I have my boundaries. Not as crazy as some people I know. But J2, man. It's like they GIVE you a tinhat to wear. It's like if you looked up even the smallest bit of stuff about them, you'd go IS THIS SHIT FOR REAL? And IT IS. It's like they're pre-slashed for your convenience.
Which just makes me wonder why I don't WRITE some, considering how they live and work in my city. God knows I've only tried to write Vancouver into my fics for a million years now. Here is a fandom that is actually set in Vancouver for real. They filmed across the street from my house at one point. But eh. I've read so many good ones, that's the thing. I always fare better in crappy or non-existent fandoms. My ego can't handle the competition.
Oh hey, btw, "Wishful Thinking" last week. THAT WAS SO FILMED IN SQUAMISH YES??? Or at least some middling town between here and Whistler. Because I got flashbacks to passing through Squamish with
tadhgka and
aureliapriscus back in the summer. That was good times.
