So I finally got to see the "fuck you guys, I'm going home" promo Daniels did at Good Times, Great Memories, and boy howdy, it's as a;fjdkslaf as people say it is.
To steal a word from opera142, the promo was wigglepants.
It also pound home some things for me that's been percolating in the back of my head.
When I wrote "Fallen," it revolved around Daniels' injury angle in TNA. I wanted to mention that AJ was wrestling in PWG, which is how he got near Los Angeles to visit Daniels, and that AJ wrestled in ROH in Philly. Ultimately, I couldn't mention either promotion by name, because Daniels wrestled in both feds while he was "injured". TNA's injury angle didn't apply in any other fed. It was a conscious decision not to mention any other promotion by name though they exist in a general sense.
And you know, I have to face the fact that I'm the only one who cares about shit like that.
I mean, I'm not being HHH about this, where I LOVE details and nobody else LOVES it like I do, and I'm better than you. It's more like I'm a psycho obsessive perfectionist and I need to learn how to chill, because honest to god, who the fuck is going to care or know for that matter when exactly Daniels started tagging with Sydal in ROH and what's going on concurrently at TNA while they're doing that?
It's more like: things happened, and they more or less kinda happened around then.
I need broad strokes. I'm drowning in useless details. And I need more flexibility, since wrestling is the epitome of flexible canon. Use what works, fudge what doesn't, or outright throw it out.
