Ah, Alta - I feel like this has happened before: I feel really bummed about the show, about Bonnie, and consider just dropping it and you yank me out of my apathy with you wonderful stories.
That's code for: I loved this. I loved the continuity, I love how you wrote the girls (sigh, a show that cared about development and actual character). Your descriptions of magic were beautiful.
I just love that you let these characters articulate their experiences for once when the show usually stifles that or forgets it. Bonnie and Tyler's connection was fascinating (and clearly needs a sequel or 20).

Ahhh, thank you!!! That really means a lot. The show is so terrible that I'm thinking it's healthy to sometimes feel absolute apathy towards it. My excitement after seeing Bonnie and Bonnie/Jeremy in the trailer had gone down by the time Thursday came. I was able to get some of it back while watching the episode (though I wouldn't really call it outright excitement) and seeing Bonnie again. And Gloria. Gloria was too good for this show.
Thank you! The worst thing about the show is the feeling that I shouldn't get too invested in a characters' experience because I know the show will gloss over it.

I agree completely. While I was hoping and waiting for a happy ending (I'm a slut for happy endings!), this was more realistic...and not completely without hope for something further developing between Bonnie and Tyler. :-)
A sequel would be great, a few sequels would be fabulous.
I knew this wasn't going to have a traditional happy ending. Heck, I didn't even plan to have them kiss. Lol. But it just flowed in the conversation by the bathroom.
I adore open endings! I really do. :) Oh also forgot to note: what kind of research do you do for the spells? When Bonnie chants there are actual words. Where do you find the spells?
I come up with the spells myself in English, then I got to an English to Latin translator (I had to change some of the wordings in English because I didn't like how the translation kept coming out. Sometimes it wouldn't even traslate one of the words), and then I change some of the endings to make it sound more "Plecan" or something JP would write into the show. So all the words that end in -us, -ma, um, and -os.
Noooooo! First I wanted to say Thank you for this! And I wanted to say that I love the dialog. Tyler was perfectly frustrating and in character. I love the way he ran circles around her questions.
He didn’t know why considering the situation, but he once again wondered how she felt about the moon.
I love that!
I was tickled at the dancing! I screamed! OMG Bonnie grinding up on Tyler OMG! Tickled!
But then I was crying (seriously, there are tears) whenever Bonnie was confronted with what happened to Mason. It hurts!
All she saw was Tyler. All she heard was Matt.
“You acted like you didn’t know her. Like she was a nobody. Like she didn’t have---”
A family.
I don't get this bit, though. Was this a off screen memory of Matt talking to Bonnie about Caroline?
The tears! Every time brought up Mason cut! ugh! Good work, Alta. As usual. ;) THANK YOU, for this wonderful work!

Girl I was crying when he started talking about it during the slow dance. Typing and crying. I love when that happens because it means my head is completely in the story.

Do you mean Vicky? If so, yes. He was talking about how she never told him despite how know they've know each other (and how long she'd known Vicky).
Thank you for the prompt! I'm very happy you love it.
I still don't understand why Bonnie has such loyalty to Elena. It must be magic.
Lol.
And all the shit rolled down hill and Bonnie catches it because she is the only one who holds feelings. Well, Bonnie and Caroline hold feelings.
It's true. I was thinking while writing that part that Bonnie was in a tough position with the Mason thing, but in the aftermath it might seem like Tyler doesn't care. Like her feelings and experiences don't matter. Which is continuing the fact that (on the show) the group doesn't value her feelings and experiences; they just want her to do things. That's why I wrote the part of her wondering if it would ever matter to him. And of course at the end, Tyler wanted to understand. Bonnie got Mason killed and she had her reasons (in my head) and those reasons wouldn't matter to Tyler, but it wouldn't make them any less legit for Bonnie. They would both hurt in different ways. But the show doesn't get that, so they never did anything with them.
All of this is absolutely amazing. I just...wow. You always do an excellent job at expanding on what the show (purposely) leaves out, but this takes the cake, out of all of the stories I've read from you. Bless this!
