Besides being a single dad of four for five days I've gotten a TON done around the house. I thought it would be cool to just make a list of all the things I accomplished over the last five days:
- Kept the household's normal routines including getting everyone off to school, down for naps, fed, into bed, etc. on time.
- Kept a clean and orderly house with only minor messes.
- Worked a minimum of two hours for my regular job.
- Washed a MOUNTAIN of laundry.
- Folded and put away said mountain. (Was going to make a mustard-seed joke here about telling the mountain to move.)
- Washed the couch cushions and vacuumed in the couch.
- Made a home-cooked meal almost every night.
- Reinstalled all of the electrical faceplates in the living room. (We took them off to paint...in June.)
- Put together my wife's new computer desk.
- Took apart her old desk and modified it into something I liked and could use. This was a multi-step process, but I'm not going to go through it all.
- Rearranged our entire family room downstairs take advantage of the new desk space; vacuumed and picked up a lot of garbage.
- Did the dishes every night so there is no pile of dishes in the sink.
- Swept and picked up house to make sure it was straightened before my wife came home (doing it tonight).
- Introduced my brother to WoW. Yes, this IS an accomplishment.
- Wrestled with the kids.
- Stayed sane and relatively patient with my children.
That's a mighty, mighty list. I hereby proclaim myself both Super Dad and Super Husband. *flexes*
