Normally, I don't care for GURPS as a rule, but having seen this...

I haven't RP'd in a couple of coon's ages...but the Hellboy RPG might be just the thing to get me back in the saddle...

Hey, if you've got the will, I've got the dice, though I've never even PLAYED in a GURPS game so I'd need to study up some. I'd love to have you!

I love GURPS but one of the best campaigns I was ever in was GURPS based.

I have the Discworld book. Hardcover. :D I just can't figure how I (or anyone else) could run a game that was both serious RPG and Discworld-style funny.

Now, Hellboy I can see as an RPG...

off topic - may I please post to the House list? Pretty please?

Theoretically it wouldn't be that hard, especially the way I run games. In all honesty, most WoD games that I run eventually (and unintentionally) devolves into comedy at some point (which may be why I always end up getting frustrated with WoD). I mean, you just take a normal fantasy character archetype and add a twist or an eccentricity or a phobia of something strange. The GM gets a little more descriptive and ironic about the scenarios and to a certain degree everyone involved has to invest in a certain suspension of greater disbelief (it'd be hard for the average gamer to understand how running away would get more exp than fighting). Of course, the extended problem is that it's very unlikely anyone other than you and I would be interested in a DW game.

I'm just talking hypothetically. You're right though, Helloy would be an easier setting the handle.

may I please post to the House list? Sorry, I don't know what the House list is, but if you want to post to it I don't have a problem with it. ^_^

For some reason, I mixed you up with another friend. Just ignore the house comment. Nothing to see there...

Husband has read most of the DW novels and could be pursuaded to play. Not sure who else we know that has read the books and would be welcome at the table.

...heh heh, I want to name our next daughter Esmeralda, heh heh...
