I suck at writing entries describing weekends and stuff and rarely do it but I think the dual Get Up Kids weekend has to be documented.

FRIDAY
-New Haven to meet Jeff and Pat.
-Train to New York and met up with Alyssa.
-Thai food/Hookah bar to continue the tradition.
-Met up with Sara and Noah for the first time in months.
-Really shitty opening bands.
-THE GET UP KIDS and dancing like a fool and losing my voice from singing and screaming so much and sweating and them playing the best five song encore and having the best time ever!!!
-Pizza afterwards and train ride back to New Haven.
-Diner and not getting to bed until 5am when it was already bright out.

SATURDAY
-Hung around Waterford.
-Drove up to Worcestor with Jeff and Pat.
-Saw 10598235 people I knew which was sort of fun and sort of annoying.
-Kevin Devine played with a full band which was a nice surprise.
-The second opening band was worse than the ones on Friday, which no one imagined to be possible. But it was.
-THE GET UP KIDS but I wasn't as into it as on Friday and there were way too many people and pushing so we stood in the back and didn't dance or sing as much and knew the whole setlist already but it was still so much fun and kind of sad when they played the last song I'd ever see them play live ("Mass Pike" of course).

SUNDAY
-Got a full eight hour sleep for the first time in a few days.
-Went to Trash with Rob and got Can't Slow Down, Bivouac, and the Get Up Kids/Rocket From the Crypt split on vinyl.
-Home, might hang out with Dani and Ari but I might just go to bed since I have work at 6am tomorrow.

Overall, what a great fucking weekend. I'm sad that it's over. I'm sad that the Get Up Kids are over because I really love them so much. I wish they had played "Central Standard Time" and "One Year Later" and "Anne Arbor" but I'm so happy with what they did play that it doesn't matter. Maybe they'll do a reunion tour in ten years and we'll all be old and gray and we'll go and have a geriatric blast.

I was anticipating this weekend really hard for a really long time so now I don't know what there is to look forward to...or should I say "What's there left to wait for." Haha. It doesn't matter though because summer is summer and it's just pretty awesome no matter what.

I LOVE THE GET UP KIDSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm such a loser!!!!!
