This is an amusing story:
I saw
jennymoon in an ottawa community last week, and I liked her posts, so I checked out her journal. I eventually added her to my friends list, and let her know. She acknowledged this, but didn't follow standard LJ procedure and reciprocate, which is a little odd, but thats ok. Anyway, we have a bit of a comment exchange on I think Friday or Saturday night, and she eventually asks for my MSN, so we start chatting. At one point she invites me out to Nickels, a diner in the market, and I agree. She says she's meeting some other LJers, and they're just working out details. So we go on chatting about other stuff. A few minutes later, she says "well, I'm heading out." or something along those lines. I ask her "what happened to Nickels?" and she responds that she is actually going to Tim Hortons with some non-LJ friends. Ok, it was 11:45pm and I was kind of tired anyway.
The next morning I check my friends page and she posts saying that she had gone to Nickels late last night with a couple of LJ friends. What the fuck? I wasn't bothered that she didn't want to meet me right away, I was a little surprised that she actually expressed interest in meeting me so soon. But did she have to lie so blatantly? Of course she was purged from the friends list and from MSN. What sort of social deviance is that? And if you're gonna lie to someone don't admit it! She was probably tired and forgot she had lied to me.
Anyway, that was my amusing story. I was kind of hoping she would comment on one of my public posts about me removing her because I so seldom get to be mean to people. Oh well. I think I'll leave this post public though :)
