It only took Bruce half a day to mix it up. He got the idea when he’d spotted Maria out on the desk of the helicarrier. He was only on board for a few days to consult on a special project, but he’d seen that she spent quite a lot of time out there right away. Obviously the SHIELD helicarrier deck was not equipped with large shade umbrellas.
He added just a hint of fragrance, a subtle earthy scent that reminded him of her in a way that he couldn’t explain, before closing the lid. He left the jar in her quarters with a note that read:
Due to the Earth’s weakened ozone layer you need protection from ultraviolet radiation. While absorption of some is necessary for your body to produce Vitamin D, too much can cause harmful genetic mutation. I threw out that store-brand junk you had and made this instead. It would be a shame for your pretty face to be marred by melanoma. Use it or I’ll send the other guy after you.
