I've never been a big fan of Halloween. Don't know, just never been my thing. And it hasn't really changed since coming to Chicago (Halloween being one of the nights it's impossible to get anywhere-try to find an empty cab, I dare you). I've been here for 3 Halloweens; #1 ended with me literally cleaning up after remarkably drunk friends. #2 involved me spending too much money out and trying to pick a fight/ being provoked into trying to pick a fight. #3 was actually pretty good, because it involved staying in and watching zombie movies with friends. So that's probably the plan this year, although it looks like the friends from last year have "real" plans this year, so it's probably going to be just me, drinking and watching horror movies. So I figured I'd ask if anybody had any horror suggestions. I wanted to stay away from zombie movies this year, since that's what I did last year. I've had suggestions for Trick 'r Treat, a number of films by Takashi Miike, and The Notebook (I will not watch The Notebook, on the grounds that I do not approve of the torture porn genre).
So if you have any suggestions, let me know.
