What use has ten red ribbons tied to my neck, for ten red days to quietly disappear.
Ten days without the shadows to carry the breeze, ten days has made the world seem so much colder.
There's a flickering light drowning in a dark forest telling us that you have gone to ward off the blizzards within your mind.
There are pledges of innocence there that are forgotten by truth,
far beyond what hope cannot manifest.
You cannot impress a blind universe, my dear, you cannot be the silver that shines in this white sky.
There is no prayer, no spell nor gospel whispered in the shallows of the Dead Sea
that can summon a bright chariot to bring your soul back to us.
Ten red ribbons to mark the hours,
in ten days time,
I will see you there.
