How To Get An Internship
Last Thursday I went to Jerry Smith's house... in STOUGHTON, MASS. Yeah, it's a long drive but it's worth it. My TRUE friends are my NEW friends, and he's one of them. I was first to arrive and got to his house before HE did. The rest of the day went on with more people showing up and random insanity occurring. This consisted of using an axe can as a blowtorch and playing some Rock Band 2. I played Bass... on Easy. WHAT THE HELL WAS I THINKING? SHITS BORING.
Friday, I had to get up early. I had an interview for my CW28 internship. I didn't have my portfolio, references, resume, or clothing ready. So I got up early and put all of my movies on my two thumb drives. Then I printed my info. Then I went to Providence Place mall to buy a collared shirt, since none of them fit me. There I changed in a bathroom and proceeded to wear my fresh-out of the needles n' plastic wrap packaged shirt and old tie to my interview. He asked to see an example of my work. I showed him. It was short.
I got the job. I will be interning at Gmedia, and will be doing work for CW28 (tv station) very soon. Of course, this job is UNPAID, boo.
