The Long Ride Home
You know, I go with my dad to Old Orchard Beach in Maine every now and again. This visit was nothing special. We go there, did some sight seeing, got some food, played in the broken-down arcade, and decided to go to the Maine Mall in Portland too. We also revisited what I knew from my childhood to be the "circle hotel".
When we went home, I instead of listening to music like usual, I instead took to taking out a portable DVD player and watching a few favorable episodes of Ghost in the Shell. I watched around 3 episodes. We also stopped at a McD's for bathroom breakage. But for some reason, that whole night trip felt pretty euphoric to me. I felt good. I guess part of it had to do with watching Ghost in the Shell. It just puts me somewhere else. I should watch DVDs on long car trips more often.
