Larping

Just dropping a line for the first time in a while. I went to Dundracon and had a good time although for many reasons I found LARPing a little demoralizing. I feel lately like I have been getting the second string characters the ones designed to fill up the LARP. Often the Character goals are impossible to finish and in addition, they have lacked role-playing oomph. Characters I have gotten lately include the Mayor in a supers LARP, (3 hour combat, no powers.) A computer programmer (spent most of the game working on a problem that didn’t exist.) The Grocery Store manager, (another 3 hour combat, which I had nothing to contribute and only the vaguest reason to care.) A German Broker who was added late in the hopes of tying other characters together, (I had OK time until the end of the game which made me feel pointless but overall the game was fun, except I am freaking tired to playing brokers from Stuttgart.) I then got to play Indiana Jones where I had lots of fun until Mario and Morgan Le Faye stabbed me in the back.
