Some things never change

I've come to terms with the fact that I am a huge nerd. Not even the type that gets really good grades, but the type of person that will spend four hours in an office supply store until the employees ask me why I've been there for so long. (& even though there aren't many,) The best part about school starting is that i have a legitimate excuse to get fresh notebooks, quick-dry pens that Krista has that I drooled over in Physiology for an entire two semesters, .5 lead mechanical pencils that don't squeak, and super chewy gummy erasers (among other things). In a couple weeks I'll probably be needing a new moleskin, although I hate to admit, I have been eyeing a Field Notes Brand notebook that I found while exploring notebookism.com, which I'm strangely addicted to. I still need to get new folders, some sort of book bag with perfect straps that won't dig into my shoulders, and lots and lots of flashcards for my biology class this semester. Needless to say, that besides spending a copious amount of money on absolutely necessary school supplies, the Moorpark College bookstore has been raping my checkbook. The same guy at the bookstore always seems to ring me up, and I feel like a total sucker for not being able to buy most of my books used. Now, I'm at the Camarillo Library, which is such a fantastic fantastic place for both study and leisure. I got a new library card today, because the one I had before that was on my keychain was too worm out and wouldn't scan (satisfying or embarrassing? a little bit of both). I could spend all day here (& some times I do). I think this might be my new It's a Grind, although it is a tab bit out of the way. However, it's absolutely gorgeous and I get so much done here. Already I've gotten my biology lab finished and typed up, and read a few essays for my English class (which I found out I can't even do the homework for.. no complaints here). Now I just need to read chapters 4&5 for bio, do study guides for chapters 3-5, flashcards for all my vocab, recopy my notes (yeah.. I know), and do my French homework. This was probably my more pointless internet-ramble in a long time. I don't really like my classes, but I like being kept busy by something other than work all the time. It's a nice change in pace, and although I'm meeting some cool people, I still miss everyone that has left, too!
