Hello.
Yes, I am alive.
I am in the apparently world-famous TECH center at Temple, trying to work on a research paper which is due on Monday. I hate to be all cliche, but this semester really flew.
I hate papers.
I've survived remarkably well on my $1500 a month graduate stipend. I have nearly $200 in my account and I get paid tomorrow. Sweetness.
I find the Republican presidential field kind of fascinating. Since I'm not a Republican, I feel like I can look at the field objectively. It's especially interesting to see how the different factions of the party have manifested themselves in various candidates. Ron Paul is the libertarian paleo-conservative; Huckabee is the southern Christian populist; McCain is gunning for the neo-con mantle; and Giuliani is the draconian fascist scumbag.
Okay, maybe I'm not completely objective. I really hate Giuliani, though. I don't care that he's pro-choice and pro-gay. First of all, his personal positions won't make a lick of difference if he appoints right-wing crazies to the courts as he has apparently promised the religious right. Pat Robertson endorsed him, for Christ's sake. Also, if there is any heir among the current Republican field to the Bush legacy of arrogance, cronyism, corruption, incompetence and deceit, it is Rudy the Drag-Queen Fascist.
Anyway, back to work.
