Requiem for a Dream is a awesome movie...
"It seems to me that we all have a dream of our own, our personal vision, our own individual way of giving, but for many reasons we are afraid to persue it, or even to recognize and accept its existence. But to deny our vision is to sell our soul. Getting is living a lie, turning our back ont he truth and Vision are glipses if the truth: Obviously nothing external can truly nuture my inner life, my Vision."
"Unfortunately, I suspect there never will be a requiem for THE dream, simply because it will destroy us before we have the opportunity to mourn its passing. Perhaps time will prove me wrong. As Mr. Hemmingway said: "Isn't it pretty to think so?"
- Hubert Selby Jr
"The soft filtered light continued to push the darkness into the shadows, as they held each other and kissed and pushed each others darkness into the corner, believing in each others light, each others dream.."
"They peacefully passed the day sleeping in each other's arms, oblivious to the reality surrounding them.."
