What have I been up to lately?
I quit my job at the teen shelter. I got hired to teach a summer class on music improvisation to CPS high school students. I'm working on building an intentional community in Bridgeport. I've been playing my violin, riding my bike around, taking care of some seedlings, and reading about container gardening. Wondering if I should try volunteering at the wildlife rehabilitation center downtown. Singing some Sacred Harp. Worrying. Cooking compulsively and not eating what I cook, but my housemates don't seem to mind. Eating mostly picnic food: hard-boiled eggs, hummus, pumpernickel bread, artichoke hearts, lettuce, carrots, green peppers, blackberries, raspberries, cherries, yogurt, avocado. Wishing we had space for chickens. Feeling all the possibilities. Wondering what it will be like when I go to northern Minnesota in August to live on a farm for two months.
