Soooo.....
I quit my job and got a new one. In reverse order, of course.
I signed up to a couple of agencies, and within a week I had an interview with GPC Electronics, who are situated right next door to the site I'm working at currently. Easy to slip away at lunch and go and talk to them ;)
Anyways, to cut a long story short, I start there next Friday. I'll be working in their dispatch, along with one other guy. It looks like it's more logistics and computer work than the mindless shoving around of cartons and drums. BONUS. Not that I don't enjoy physical work, but I don't like it when that's ALL I do. More to the point, I don't like it when my employers think that that's all I'm capable of. My new employers were so impressed with my CV and skills that they cancelled all the other interviews they had lined up, which has done wonders for my confidence.
I'm scared to start something new. I really, really dislike change, but I've needed to do this for years. Honestly, I'm surprised that I got my shit together to get a new job, given my current mental state.
