Bugger off, snow. You were amusing for the first 12 hours, and now you're not.
So, it started snowing last night, and hasn't really stopped. We rarely get snow like this in Christchurch, the last time it was like this was 1992. Of course, working for my company meant that I went into work this morning. We only worked a few hours though - once the owner of the company realised that every company we deal with is closed, he let us go home.
It's bloody freezing. Alex and I went for a short walk down to the cemetary to look around and take pictures. It was suitably dramatic. In lieu of proper snow shoes, we just tied plastic bags around our feet. It got a few strange looks when crossing a main road, but whatever. Note to self: plastic bags do not work in 2ft deep puddles that are cunningly covered in ice and snow.
It's Cilla's first time in the snow, so that's been an endless source of amusement. Saffron just won't have a bar of it at all, and is demanding that Alex tell her where her toilet has disappeared to.
