Alright kids...hang on tight for a recap of the past couple of weeks.
The FFCC Championships were good and what not. We got the gold, get it!
So let's move on to the Dayton trip!! We left Wednesday morning, very very early! We get to Dayton and have some free time. The girls of 505 (Amy, Aubrey, Megan and myself) decided to travel around the wonderful town of Springfield, Ohio. Guys, never go there, ever! hahah, the coolest thing we found was a hobby shop! The hobby shop was awesome though because we got a kite that brought us so many laughs. : )
Thursday was our performance day! We got to sleep in, holla, and performed around 8ish. Oh! I forgot to mention that we had practice on Wednesday night, and all seemed really focused and ready to get the job done. That put me in a good mind set for the next day! So, prelims went pretty well. Seeing Mary and Willie look so happy afterwards made everything worth it. Right after we performed Mary and Willie were hugging and Willie was crying! That is when it really hit me how much both of them care about each and every one of us and the program. yay for our director/instructor!
So, we found out that we made the top five in our block which meant that we made it to semi-finals. W00t, we were all quite excited. Our semis run was also pretty good, and I had two awesome run throughs, so I was pleased with myself.
After semis we were in 17th place, and they took the top 15 for finals. So close yet so far. It's okay though, it was USF first trip to Dayton so well done to us all!
All and all this was one of the best trips I have ever been on. I kinda wish we didn't have such a good time because then it wouldn't be so hard to leave those fools. : ) Good thing we have the end of the season dinner this Wednesday!
I hope you all had a great week/weekend and I will see you all later! Byebye my friends!!
Oh, and I love the USF Winterguard. Sorry, but I do!!
Go here for my pictures from Dayton....dut dut whaaaaat?
