this weekend...
This was one of the best weekends I've had in such a long time!! ahhh! Well, it was a regional day on Saturday, and those are always the best!!!
We had practice on Friday and it went pretty well. On Saturday we had to meet at the USF Sun Dome at 5:50..IN THE MORNING! ahh, thankfully Katie came and picked me up and drove, so I was allowed to not be awake. w00t.
We get to Gainesville (which I don't like at all, confuses me and is blah.), and we eat! Then we hit up the O'Connelly center or whatever it is called, and we help out Sickles. Next thing we know it is prelim time! Our performance was pretty good, and Michael James even said he was proud of us! GET OUT OF TOWN! lol. We aren't going to go into my little sabre mishap. Let's just say I couldn't find it for a couple of seconds, ahahaha.
Our prelims score was a 72, and we got second because Northgate got a 72.4! SO CLOSE YET SO FAR! ehhh! W
After prelims we had a couple of hours of chill time, and once Lisa, Jessie and Nichole got in town we all went out to eat. It was great to see those Tally folk! holla!
My finals performance was a lot better than my prelims one. I think everyone in the guard was really performing it, and yes, we felt the vibe, lol. Retreat time comes and guess who comes in first?! USF WINTERGUARD! yesssssss! Our score went up .5, so we got a 72.5 and Northgate got a 72.3! We were so close, but we were all extremely determined to move up.
Overall, a job well done to my guardies, and the competition was the best. Many good times!
