Living the Dream
Last week marked what I want to do for the rest of my life.

This is the #1 voice casting agency in the country. If you watch commercials on the Disney Channel, he is signed through DPN. The Southwest Airlines "wanna get away?" guy... signed through DPN. Carl's Jr. Guy - DPN. Winnie the Pooh? DPN
Well... I took a class with the P in DPN Talent over the weekend. And my sister was scheduled to audition for the week because she won a competition at my Voiceover academy. When I took the class. P found out I was going to be in LA too and invited me to audition as well.
WOW.
So everyday, I got to the agency at 10am to audition for any script for video games or commercials that came in that day. I was auditioning against all the the voices that DPN has on their website. All the big boys and girls that are making their six/seven figure living doing Voice Acting as a profession. What an amazing experience.
The first day we were auditioning a dialogue with 2 people... so I totally forgot who I read with, but my sister read with the voice of the Disney Channel - the guy who does all the promos for TV shows and such. Crazy.
So I did this for 5 days. The likelihood I casted for anything is VERY low. But the opportunity to do this was beyond anything else. I hope someday I can make a living doing this in the future.
Aside that, I went to Disneyland, California Adventure, Venice Beach, Redondo Beach, Santa Monica, Hollywood and Beverly Hills.
Loved it. And as much as I thought I'd hate LA... I slowly fell in love with it.
