Idina Menzel concert
I went to the Idina Menzel concert this past Tuesday, June 29, 2010. The concert was at Heinz Hall with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. I had seats 6 rows back from the stage and they were amazing!
I got my tickets the day they went on sale. I wanted the best ones that I could buy!
So, I headed down to Pittsburgh after work. While I was sitting in traffic by the 40th Street bridge I look to my right and see a good friend of mine sitting in his car. We ended up talking to each other while sitting in traffic! That was a fun time! Something I didn't expect to do! My friend that was coming with me and I decided to eat dinner at a restaurant that was in PNC Park. Another friend that I work with was going with a friend of his so we decided to all meet. After eating dinner, my friend, Jen, drove over and parked near the Hall. The other 3 of us walked across a bridge over to the Hall. It was such a beautiful day and night so good weather to walk.
Once in the Hall I decided to buy two cds of Idina's that I didn't have. I don't usually do that, but I felt that I needed to. We then sat in out seats. My other 2 friends had seat further away from the stage.
The PSO performed for about a half an hour by themselves. The performed selections from Wicked and Les Mi among others. After an 20 minute intermission Idina came on! <3
She performed songs from Wicked, Rent her latest CD, I Stand and others. One major highlight was her singing Poker Face.
