So, I just got back from seeing Elizabethtown with Will, and while not the best Cameron Crowe film, I have to say I really liked it. No one performance stood out for me, but overall, the whole movie had a feel that's just hard to place. It's definately on the abstract side and more than surely surreal, but there's also a "home" kind of feel to it. And that's what I felt, like I was at home with these quirky characters. I'm not really even sure what I got from this movie when it was over and I was walking away, but there was this mixed feeling of uncertainty and a sense that I wanted to explore. I really liked the music in the movie and felt, like with all of Crowe's films, that it was perfectly placed for each scene. I don't think this movie is for everyone and it's one of those movies that you are either going to love or hate, and there's really no gray area. As for me, you can quote me as the prior.
Now, I'm going to check my e-mail and go to bed and let the wind lull me into a much needed sleep. Goodnight LJ!
